Central Technical School and Peter Haworth

During Peter Haworth’s tenure, from 1929 to his retirement in the mid-1950s, Central Technical School was an important artistic meeting ground for Toronto teachers and artists and was a leading educator of many of Canada’s painters, sculptors, illustrators, stage designers and ceramicists. This environment also created a fertile ground for the dissemination and collection of important contemporary artists of the day.
