    Long Association with Toronto Schools

    L.A.C. Panton was a teacher at Central Technical School. In 1924, he was appointed Director of Art; first at the Western Branch Technical School and then the Northern Vocational School where he continued his teaching career until 1951. At that time, he was appointed principal of the Ontario College of Art. Panton encouraged many younger artists and educators including John Bennett and Ethel Curry. The works of these artists, and Panton himself, can be found in the collection of the Toronto District School Board.
