    In 1893, Chicago, Illinois hosted the world as over 27 million attendees visited the popular social and technical exhibition: The World's Columbian Exposition. Such exhibitions were popular events during the nineteenth century showcasing the best social, technical, and cultural innovations that society had to offer. In Chicago, the Ontario Department of Education presented itself as a proven world leader in pedagogy with a large exhibition of educational excellence that included student work and much more.
